About Dr. Peter Brett

An oncologist with 28 years of experience, Dr. Peter Brett laid the foundation for his career in medicine by attending Stanford University. He graduated from the university with distinction and honors and earned a bachelor of science in philosophy and biology in 1981. That same year, Dr. Peter Brett enrolled in Stanford University Medicine, and he graduated with a doctor of medicine and received a research honors award in 1985. 

To conclude his training, Dr. Brett completed an internal medicine residency at Stanford University Hospital and Clinics in 1988 after three years of clinical experience. He also undertook a medical oncology fellowship at the National Institutes of Health, which he finished in 1991.

In his most recent position, he served as the oncology medical director at the Sutter Medical Group of the Redwoods, a medical group practice in Sonoma County, California. Presently, he has a California medical license and diplomate titles for the American Board of Internal Medicine.
